Chief Samuel I. Adegbite OFR, a Non-Executive Director of the Bank attended University of London, where he bagged an LLB (Hons.) degree (1969).  He is a fellow of the Chartered Instituted of Bankers; Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators; and Nigerian Institute of Management.  A trained lawyer a seasoned banker, he has over three decades of banking experience.  He started out his banking career at then Standard Bank of West Africa (now First Bank) and later joined National bank of Nigeria.  He was at NAL Merchant Bank between 1971 and 1974 where he rose to the position of a Bank Manger.  In January 1983, he moved to Wema Bank Plc as Executive Director.  By September 1983, he was made the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the bank.  A position he held till 1998 when he was appointed Vice Chairman/Chief Executive till 1999.  He is currently the Chairman of Oasis Group.
