Chairman

Dr. Erastus B. O. Akingbola, MON, OON is the Chairman of the Company and Group Chief Executive of Intercontinental Bank Plc. He holds an MBA from the University of Lagos (1986), and he's a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London and Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), he has had over 34 years continuous banking experience embracing commercial banking, merchant banking, discount house operations, leasing and insurance.

Dr. Akingbola has attended several banking and executive courses both locally and Internationally in the USA (Havard Business School), France, Switzerland, Singapore, Britain etc.

He is also Chairman, Associated Discount House Limited; Director, Intercontinental WAPIC Insurance Plc, Director, Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited and Chairman, Tropics Finance Limited. He has been the Chief Executive of Intercontinental Bank Plc since inception in 1989 and he is one of its four principal promoters.

Ag. Managing Director/CE

Gbenga Yerokun is an Accounting graduate of University of Ilorin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995. He joined Intercontinental Bank Plc in November 1997 and has held various management positions including Regional Operations Manager, Branch Head and Group Executive in charge of Central Operations of the bank. He was seconded to Intercontinental Securities Ltd as the Chief Operating Officer in December 2008 and currently the Ag. Managing Director/CEO. He brought along with him over 17 years banking experience with deep knowledge in Control, Marketing, Branch Management and Operations.

Director

Mr. Chris A. Alabi a is non-Executive Director of the Company. An Alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan with a degree in Sociology, he is an accomplished businessman with interest across various sectors of the economy including banking, maritime, agriculture, education and Oil and Gas. He is one of the four founding fathers of Intercontinental Bank Plc, Director, Union Trust Building Society Limited and currently, Chairman, Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited.

Director

Engr. Hyacinth U.F. Enuha is a non-Executive Director of the Company and holds a First Class Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Rochester University, USA and a Master of Science degree in the same discipline from Cornell University, Ithaca, USA. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and he is currently the Managing Director of Cakasa Nigeria Limited, Chairman, Intercontinental WAPIC Insurance Plc and one of the four principal promoters of Intercontinental Bank Plc.

Director

Chief Samuel I. Adegbite, OFR holds a Law degree (LL.B) from the University of London. He started his banking career at Standard Bank Of West Africa (now First Bank of Nigeria Plc). In January 1983, he moved to Wema Bank Plc as Executive Director and by September of the same year, was appointed the Managing Director. He is a Director in Intercontinental Bank Plc, Chairman, Intercontinental Homes Plc, and also Chairman, Oasis Group of Companies.

Director

Chief Igwe Ojike, MON is a non-Executive Director of the Company. He holds a first degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is a founding partner of Ojike Okechukwu and Co (Chartered Accountants) a prestigious firm of Auditors and Chartered Accountants. He is a Member of the Governing Council of the University of Ibadan and a Director of Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited.
