q     In addition, the company is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as a Finance company.

q     The Company was incorporated in 1989 as a subsidiary of the Nigeria Intercontinental Merchant Bank (now Intercontinental Bank Plc).

q     The conversion of the parent Bank from Merchant Banking operations to Commercial Banking in September 1999 resulted in a major turnaround in Intercontinental Securities Limited with its operating capability strengthened with the transfer to ISL of the Bank’s Investment Banking resources reputed to be among the best in the industry.

q     The Company’s Board is chaired by the Group Chief Executive of Intercontinental Banking Group, Dr. Erastus B. O. Akingbola, and is made up of eminent citizens who have made their marks in the nation’s financial system; while the management team led by Mr. Adeboye A. Adewoyin comprises experienced Investment Bankers and Stockbrokers with several years’ hands-on experience in capital market and financial services.

q     The Company has branches in four locations spread across Nigeria vis – PortHarcourt, Ibadan, Abuja and Ikeja. Regulatory approval has been obtained to open four more branches in Kano, Kaduna, Enugu and Benin. The Company also does business through the 215 branches of Intercontinental Bank Plc nationwide.
