    Intercontinental Securities Limited (INTERSEC) is a Finance and Securities Dealing Company licenced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a Finance Company and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an Issuing House, Broker/Dealer and Portfolio Manager. The company is also a Dealing member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a member of the Association of Pension Fund and Investment Managers.

    INTERSEC was incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company in September 1989. The Company had in conjunction with its parent Company, Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank Limited (NIMBL) now Intercontinental Bank Plc (IB Plc) developed and serviced a sizeable proportion of the Capital Market business in Nigeria. A major milestone was recorded in the anals of the Company in 2006 with the merger of its operations with two other Securities Dealing Firms (EBN Securities & BSD Securities), which were subsidiaries of Equity Bank of Nigeria Plc, and Gateway Bank Plc, to form the enlarged Intercontinental Securities Limited. This followed the merger of Intercontinental Bank Plc., Equity Bank of Nigeria Plc, Gateway Bank Plc and Global Bank Plc, as part of Nigeria's banking consolidation Programme in 2005. INTERSEC presently operates with branches in Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Ibadan, Abuja, Kano and Benin, and has deepened its clientele base, as a finance and securities dealing Company, in all major sectors of the economy with an increasing profile of foreign portfolio investment clientele.

    In line with its mission and vision, the Company places emphasis on the delivery of prompt and efficient services in both Primary and Secondary Market activities in the Capital Market as Stockbrokers, Issuing House and Financial Advisers; and in Funds Management and Credit Finance Services. Intersec is one of the most capitalized Finance and Securities outfits operating in Nigeria, with an Authorized Share Capital of N2billion and shareholders funds in excess of N1billion.
